Greatwood

Established in 1998, Greatwood was the first organisation in the UK to use former racehorses to educate young people with Special educational needs and disability (SEND) and has been delivering education since 2006. In 2012 Greatwood was accredited by Wiltshire Council as an ‘Alternative Provider of Personalised Learning’ and in 2015 as a ‘Provider of Positive Activities for Young People’. More recently Greatwood has extended our charitable reach to include the opportunity for adults to access learning at Greatwood, specifically wellness and wellbeing.

Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare is a registered charity supporting the British horseracing workforce by offering professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and racecourse staff. Their work aims to help people, from recruitment to retirement, to thrive in a day-to-day life and through a range of challenges that are specific to a career in racing. Their mission is to enhance the wellbeing of people from the horseracing and thoroughbred breeding community, by providing proactive support throughout and after their working lives.

Irish Injured Jockeys Fund

The Mission of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund is to make a real difference to the lives and welfare of jockeys, past and present and their families by raising funds to provide enhanced help, care and support. Their vision is that Ireland will be recognised as a place where all jockeys and their families - from aspiring apprentices to professionals and qualified riders - will be provided with the best care when they need it; helping jockeys not only when they have suffered an injury, but when they have finished riding.

Matt Hampson Foundation

The Matt Hampson Foundation provides advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other forms of physical education or recreation. They assist individuals by offering direct grants or by paying into existing and future funds to assist with equipment, technology or just everyday expense

Sport In Mind

Sport in Mind is an independent, multi-award-winning, mental health charity that was formed in 2010 with one simple mission: to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems through sport and physical activity. The UK’s leading mental health sports charity, they deliver physical activity projects in partnership with the NHS in order to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction. As well as delivering physical activity programs to benefit people with mental health problems, Sport in Mind is also passionate about educating people when it comes to mental illness and the benefits of being physically active.

Islington Boxing Club

Based in Upper Holloway the Islington Boxing Club is a long-established, friendly Boxing Gym, run by volunteers providing boxing sessions for the whole community, ranging from competitive boxing classes, beginner’s academy classes and recreational sessions. An important cause for Arsenal supporters, the club especially look for and encourage young people to attend, giving them a focus, showing them discipline and teaching camaraderie.

The Marina Dalglish Appeal

The Marina Dalglish Appeal is a Merseyside based cancer charity that was set up by the Dalglish family in 2005 to say thank you for the support Marina received during her treatment for breast cancer. It has one very simple aim - to 'make a difference,' and to help sufferers and their families through their difficult journey with cancer. The charity is currently engaged in assisting Liverpool Broadgreen Hospital Trust by providing funds to instal robotic surgery equipment for the treatment of prostate and kidney cancers as well as operating the Larks drop-in centre in central Liverpool for the benefit and wellbeing of cancer patients.

Forever Manchester

Forever Manchester is the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester and believe that connected communities make stronger, happier communities. They have delivered over £39 million worth of community funding across Greater Manchester over the last 30 years, benefiting 1.1 million people with all of the money raised used to fund and support over 1,000 community projects in Greater Manchester each year.

The Trust’s aim is to provide a venue, accessible to all as a comprehensive social centre within an historical and architectural gem in the heart of South Liverpool.
